Meet Ollie. He's a beautiful King Charles Cavalier who is ten years old but doesn't look a day over two, does he? He was sooooo sweet. A very gentle and sweet soul! He was so easy to work with and his session was so easy I didn't even feel like I was working (well...I never really feel like I'm working when I'm photographing dogs)! So, here he is:
This is one of my favorite sessions, a. because it was four pugs; b. because their mom is a wonderful volunteer for APRA and c. because I totally fell in love with one of these guys...well, they are all wonderful...but one of them just really got me! The two girls (the black pug and the one with her in the picture in the chair) are permanent household members, but the two boys (in the chair together) are fosters. You could never tell it, though. They were the happiest bunch of pugs, and completely adore their mama. Here they are:

I have been playing with the idea of offering film-only sessions for those few purists out there who might like that sort of thing. So, I asked a friend, who is an amazing dog photographer in her own right, to let me borrow her dogs (my dogs are really sick of me by now, I think). And she said "yes", so here are a few from the session. It was indeed a challenge as I use a medium-format camera with manual focus...so it is safe to say I missed several shots! But I think I also got a few keepers, too, so I am overall satisfied. So, here they are:
Well, my last session in 2007 was April the Pug. She is a beautiful, 9 year old very urban girl with a view of the Atlanta skyline from her little flower-shaped bed. And here she is:
Mom to the doxies in the post below referred April's dad to me (they are urban dogs, as well) so I am very thankful! Thank you, R!! And April's dad is a professional dog walker/sitter in Midtown, so if you are looking for someone to walk your dog(s), email me and I can give you his contact information.
...since it is already 2008! Happy new year to all of you! I am finally getting semi-caught-up around here and wanted to post a few pictures from some December sessions. So here you go!
