some changes and reminder

There are some changes to pricing that I've finally gotten around to updating and they will be in effect for all orders from March 1, 2008 on. Most of them are small tweaks, nothing major. To view my new client information sheet, you can go here for dogs and here for portrait and senior clients. I will also be making a wedding website in the near future so stay tuned!

And for those of you who got the (not quite) spring cleaning newsletter, the opportunity to purchase 2007 sessions' digital files with printing release and reference photos ends at midnight on February 29, so be sure to visit the ordering website and place your order! Don't miss this wonderful opportunity!

goofing off with film

Last weekend my sister and son were here so I decided to get the old Nikon FA out and shoot some film for fun. Recently, when I shoot film, I use my medium format camera but just wanted to use 35mm. We were going to Little 5 Points in Atlanta and I didn't want to lug the big one around. So here are some before we left the house, at lunch at Grinds and Wines in Peachtree City, and of some mannequins in Little Five Points. I love mannequins in windows and the reflections...And then one more at the end of Buddy. To use up film.

pugs+kisses

Alabama Pug Rescue and Adoption had their annual "Pugs and Kisses" yesterday. It was a wonderful afternoon visiting old friends, meeting new ones, catching up and playing with tons of pugs. It was great! There was one honorary pug there (Honey Bun) who was greeted somewhat enthusiastically by the pugs (i.e. they all came running and overwhelmed her). Pugs and their people all had a great time. And all were worn out at the end of the day. Please visit Alabama Pug Rescue's website for information on how you can help the pugs that are in their care right now. There are many who have long-term medical problems and it is overwhelming for them. And this year has already been one of the hardest and it is only February. And if you are considering a pug, please check out their website first! You may be the forever home that one of these pugs is waiting for! Now here are some pictures - not all of these pugs are available for adoption - many of them are APRA's success stories!

ino

Ino is our grand-dog. I know, I'm not a very good grand-dog-mom because I took these at the beginning of the year and am just now getting around to posting them. And why I waited, I don't know - look at how cute he is! He's just a tiny guy but he did give the pugs a run for their money (well, you know, it's a saying...they don't really have money...) when he was over at our house! I just love Ino.... :)

roo

Meet Roo. He is a bundle of life - and goes full speed ahead! His parents work with me at Georgia Tech and I met them one day at Piedmont Park. He was so much fun! So here he is:

Can't you see his exuberance?

our new addition

Well, you might have noticed a few posts down that I had fallen for a sweet, older gentleman at a session I did of four pugs. He was one of the foster pugs and, well, to make a long story short, he is my pug now! We welcomed Major home a couple of weeks ago and I couldn't be happier. He is the sweetest, gentlest, cuddliest little guy. He gets along with everyone and is just a wonderful blessing to have around. Here are some recent ones of him:

...isn't he handsome?

family

I got to do portraits for a family recently. They were really sweet, and a lot of fun! We had incredibly nice weather (you never know what you'll get when you schedule a session in February!) and it turned out to be a great day! Here are a few of their favorites:

headshots for dogs?

I had the honor of doing a portrait for this Portugese Water Dog whose mom had similar portraits done of all the dogs that went before him! So my assignment was to create one very similar to theirs while still capturing his personality. And here's what I got:

He was a great model and so good! And isn't he gorgeous?

recent engagement session

It's been a while since I have done an engagement session, but S and K were the perfect ones to do! They were very sweet, very willing and lots of fun. And K has the best smile...you can tell he's in love! Here you go:

headshots

Something you may not know: I also do headshots for professionals. I have done headshots for two musicians recently, and it was a lot of fun. Headshots are available for professionals in the Atlanta Metro area as well as for those professionals in Coweta and Fayette counties and include a session of up to 30 minutes and one image on cd with usage rights to include promotional materials, websites, etc (additional images are available as well). These headshot sessions only include one basic backdrop and up to two changes of clothing, and you will have 5-10 images in your online gallery to choose from. Please contact me for more information!
